Stalin praises the Chettinad Health City facility

On Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the health city's anniversary celebration in Kelambakkam, MAM Ramaswamy, managing trustee of the Rajah Muthiah Chettiar Educational Trust, and MAMR Muthiah, vice-chairman of Chettinad Health City, presented a shield to M K Stalin, the minister of local administration.

Fusion Chettinad commences

Delivering its first test tube baby, Chettinad Health City

On October 2, 2008, Chettinad Health City's Reproductive Medicine division gave birth to its first test tube baby. Through a process known as ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection), a couple who have been married for 11 years welcomed this baby into their family. Established in January 2008, the facility boasts cutting edge equipment, such as a non-contact laser for precise embryo manipulation.

As a Deemed to be University, Chettinad Academy of Research & Education (CARE) has been proclaimed

Chettinad Health City is pleased to announce that, in accordance with section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE), which consists of the Government of India's Chettinad Health and Research Institute and Chettinad College of Nursing, has been declared a Deemed to be University.

CDC&RI and Tsurumi University's School of Dental Medicine in Japan have signed an MOU

On November 22, 2007, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the Chettinad Dental College and Research Institute (CDC&RI) and the School of Dental Medicine, Tsurumi University, Japan, to facilitate an academic exchange program.
